Matthew 11:28 Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Then come to me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis.
Are you in a desert of life? UGH. Deserts are dry, leaving us panting, and worn out. We are dried out, wasting away. But it need not be that way! Truly, I kid you not.
Christ is the living water that will quench your soul and reinvigorate you– bringing you back to the freshness of life.
To use a metaphor, it is like, the Holy Spirit is our jeep racing us thru the desert to get us to Christ. Sure we could take a camel instead and try this journey the slow hard way. Or we can let the Holy Spirit power us thru to our source of refreshment. But we have to choose the Holy Spirit. The common way the world travels, on excursions in the desert, is camelback. But as children of God, we have instant access to the power that will deliver us quickly into the presence of God.
Praise his Holy name. For he provides us a way out of the dry places. We do not have to stay parched. He willingly gave us an oasis of refreshing: His son Jesus Christ by way of the Holy Spirit.
John 4:14 TPT “but if anyone drinks the living water I give them they will never thirst again and will be forever satisfied! For when you drink the water I give you it becomes a gushing fountain of the Holy Spirit, springing up and flooding you with endless life! Drink up! Be not drunk on misery, loneliness, or despair but be filled and overflowing with the Holy Spirit.”
