This week, Thursday as the snow fell and fell… I was reading a blog that came from WP into my email. I was introduced to a song that made me realize how far from surrender my heart has been.
My heart is aching to get back to that woman who centers her life on God completely.
This first song popped up on my YouTube feed after playing the song from the post. the song from the post is the second one down.
May you be blessed by them both.
Until Next Time,
Blessings, Kate
This next one is the one that broke my heart open:
Refiner (feat. Chandler Moore & Steffany Gretzinger)
If the altar is where you meet us
Take me there, take me there
What you need is just an offering
It’s right here, my life is here
And I’ll be a living sacrifice for you
You’re a fire
The refiner
I wanna be consumed
I wanna be tried by fire
Purified
You take whatever you desire
Lord here’s my life
I wanna be tried by fire
Purifed
You take whatever you desire
Lord here’s my life
If your glory wants to come in
Let it fall, we want it all
Lord your fire is consuming
Fill this place, set it ablaze
I’ll be a living sacrifice for you
You’re a fire
The refiner
I wanna be consumed
I wanna be tried by fire
Purified
You take whatever you desire
Lord here’s my life
I wanna be tried by fire
Purifier
You take whatever you desire
Lord here’s my life
Clean my hands, purify my heart
I wanna burn for you, only for You
Take my life as a sacrifice
I wanna burn for you, only for You
Clean my hands, purify my heart
I wanna burn for you, only for You
Take my life as a sacrifice
I wanna burn for you, only for You

Oh Wowza, this is a great post, Kate! I’m finding that the longer I walk with the Lord (older I get), the more I’m moved to surrender further/deeper TO Him. It seems an almost unconscious progress–which means it’s the Holy Spirit at work, for which I’m most glad and grateful!
I so appreciate that you’re one who shares authentically about your faith–that’s the way I roll too. There’s no need for us to hide that sometimes our faith may dip–because we have the confident Hope in God, who will always lift us up. By being honest, we help others to not give up. He’s the God of ‘much more’–and He sees all the good He’s put inside us, knowing seeds will come to beautiful fruition. (I hope I’m not preaching!) Blessings to you 💖 love, Zelda

Thank you for your continued sharing of yourself in your comments. It is so good to know others are vulnerable too. I’m so grateful that He does continue to reach out and lift us back up to Himself. He is a good Father. Love and blessings to you, Kate

You would really enjoy Maverick City’s latest album. The hymns and prayers are soooo intimate and beautiful. Tears and praise and a longing for once again restoring that love we once knew for the God of gods.
I’m with you on this one Kate. We met as I was beginning to dive into a pit, and I don’t think it’s an accident. God knew we’d have to have company climbing back out. This is the time.
Let’s talk about this Friday. There’s something here that works into the work we’re doing together as friends. Let’s brainstorm after our meeting and take some time to see how we can hold each other accountable for growth and freedom and becoming the women we are created to be!!

Thank you Kate! I appreciate you and am thankful God blessed us to become friends as we’ve worked together. I value our friendship. And yes… can’t sing worth a look but love to praise as if I’m right there with the band!
