What God wants to see in you!

I have begun daily process of writing 3 pages every morning. I use them to clear my head & to get new insights,. At one point, yesterday, I started to write: “what does God want to say to me?” But instead it came out: “What does God want to see in me?”

These are 2 very different questions. Or , are they?

Maybe what God wants to say to me today is a recap of what He wants to see in me.

So I am going to share, some of what God showed me, what He wants to see in me (and you).

Philippians 2:13 New Living Translation (NLT)

13 For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.

Ephesians 4:25-32 International Children’s Bible (ICB)

25 So you must stop telling lies. Tell each other the truth because we all belong to each other in the same body.26 When you are angry, do not sin. And do not go on being angry all day. 27 Do not give the devil a way to defeat you. 28 If a person is stealing, he must stop stealing and start working. He must use his hands for doing something good. Then he will have something to share with those who are poor.

29 When you talk, do not say harmful things. But say what people need—words that will help others become stronger. Then what you say will help those who listen to you. 30 And do not make the Holy Spirit sad. The Spirit is God’s proof that you belong to him. God gave you the Spirit to show that God will make you free when the time comes. 31 Do not be bitter or angry or mad. Never shout angrily or say things to hurt others. Never do anything evil. 32 Be kind and loving to each other. Forgive each other just as God forgave you in Christ.

Colossians 3:12-17 International Children’s Bible (ICB)

12 God has chosen you and made you his holy people. He loves you. So always do these things: Show mercy to others; be kind, humble, gentle, and patient. body

13 Do not be angry with each other, but forgive each other. If someone does wrong to you, then forgive him. Forgive each other because the Lord forgave you.

14 Do all these things; but most important, love each other. Love is what holds you all together in perfect unity.

15 Let the peace that Christ gives control your thinking. You were all called together in one body to have peace.

Always be thankful.

16 Let the teaching of Christ live in you richly. Use all wisdom to teach and strengthen each other.

Sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

17 Everything you say and everything you do should all be done for Jesus your Lord.

And in all you do, give thanks to God the Father through Jesus.

Proverbs 3:5 International Children’s Bible (ICB)

Trust the Lord with all your heart.

Don’t depend on your own understanding.

Romans 12:1-2 New Living Translation (NLT)

A Living Sacrifice to God

12 And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Micah 6:8 International Children’s Bible (ICB)

The Lord has told you what is good. He has told you what he wants from you:

Do what is right to other people.

    Love being kind to others.

And live humbly, trusting your God.

Philippians 2:14-15 New International Version (NIV)

14 Do everything without grumbling or arguing, 15 so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky.

And taken from Psalm 119

Walk with blameless ways
Walk in the law of the Lord (Love God with all your heart, mind, soul. Love your neighbor as yourself Matthew 22:37-40)
Guard you way according to His word
Seek Him with your whole heart
Meditate on His precepts
Fix your eyes on His ways
Do not forget His word
Choose the way of faithfulness
Turn your eyes from looking at worthless things
Promise to keep His word
Rise and praise Him

What a list to work on. This should keep me busy a while! LOL

God’s word sure has a lot to say about what God wants to see in us.
