Chasing approval is so tiring- don’t you agree?
First off, you have to present your best foot forward. What if you come off wrong? What if you look stupid? What if you make a mistake? UGH! And imagine if they see you are human and have legitimate flaws?
You know, if people really knew you—they might not like you.
WHAT???!!!
That is garbage! That is some silly nonsense your mind tells you to keep you insecure and tied up with chasing validation from others.
But what good is validation from others– if it is only based on the front you present?
We are all flawed…and yet, we are all chosen.
Those of us who have come to believe in Jesus as our savior can rest assured in this.
Those who have not come to decision of life in Christ, there is still time.
Wouldn’t it be great to know that the creator of the universe treasures you—REGARDLESS of what we have not done correctly?
That is what we have.
We have an eternal Father that loves us enough to make sure we would spend eternity with Him. When we come to a believing faith in the Savior, all our sins are forgiven and we become heirs to all God’s blessings.
Some of this, you may already know but do you hold it first in your mind as you go throughout the day?
Think on this:
~Why are you chasing approval from people who do not notice or care?
~Why are you worried about looking all put together and perfect for others that wouldn’t accept you if they knew you are flawed—which YOU ARE!
We all are; and yet at the same time we all pretend we are not.
Do these people matter over your whole life? What if they move away? What if you lose touch? What if you transfer jobs?
God asks—
Do they matter regarding YOUR personal eternal life?
For the ONLY one whose opinion matters today, and forever, is God Almighty.
We know this, but yet, we put on the good face and keep the stiff upper lip. We keep our concerns and issues to ourselves. We don’t even ask one another for prayer when it would help us.
Aren’t you exhausted?
You can find rest in God today.
Exodus 33:14 “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28-30 (NLT) Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”
John 15:16 (NLT) You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.
Ephesians 1:4 (NLT) Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ
Jeremiah 1:4-5 The Lord gave me this message: I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart
Quit chasing and just be chosen!
Just let go and surrender, quit looking around… then revel in the glory and mercy of your Father the Holy and Magnificent, the Eternal King of Kings.
Until Next Time~
Blessings, Kate
