- Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!
Thou art the Potter, I am the clay.
Mold me and make me after Thy will,
While I am waiting, yielded and still. - Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!
Search me and try me, Master, today!
Whiter than snow, Lord, wash me just now,
As in Thy presence humbly I bow. - Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!
Wounded and weary, help me, I pray!
Power, all power, surely is Thine!
Touch me and heal me, Savior divine. - Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!
Hold o’er my being absolute sway!
Fill with Thy Spirit till all shall see
Christ only, always, living in me.

The suffering-servant song! Well, one of my favorites anyway. Yes Lord!
Thanks be to God.

Reblogged this on Fellow Suffering Servant and commented:
So, are you a disciple or is Christianity a self-actualization process for you?

I am a work in progress. I grew up in the church. Went to college to be a pastor. walked away. lived some life. came back. and then went back to school to once again become a pastor. Got my B.A. then went to Seminary and lost my faith in Jesus and the Bible (but not God). I spent 14 HARD LIVING years away. I have been back for a few years and consider myself a disciple all over again in the Jewish way of looking at “disciple” trying to walk close and get His dust all over me while He walks in front guiding me.

We are a stubborn bunch aren’t we, all a mess without Him and still shook up with Him. Peace to you sister, and all the rest of us who eat the dust of Jesus rather than hanging out with those who are more “socially acceptable” by this world’s standards.
